The skinny on what I’ve been doing since Ash Wednesday…

Because I gave up all things social media and coffee for Lent, guess I’ll throw an update out there to the world on what my life was like without the Internets.

-I desperately missed the Internet, and coffee for that matter. I found myself quite bored most of the time, which is sad but true. I also feel like I never recovered from the lack of caffeine; my morning commutes always felt quite sluggish.
-If any of you have read any of my posts about exercise/health - I’ve somewhat given up on running (gasp!), and now I’m HOOKED on these AWESOME videos from fitnessblender.com. I HIGHLY recommend; they are such great workouts. I think I need to put more words in CAPS.
-I read two books, and they were lovely. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A9UJWU0/ref=oh_d__o02_details_o02__i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DL0WQ3U/ref=oh_d__o01_details_o01__i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
-Aaaaand that about covers it. Nothing super noteworthy happened since March 5. Same old same old.

It’s that time of year again, folks. Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, and for 40 days we shall observe Lenten until the celebration of Christ’s death and resurrection. Normally I give up several things, but this year I’m keeping it somewhat simple:

-no social media

Ahhhhhhhh! Will I survive? Lord knows! Going to get my fill of Tumblr, Facebook, Imgur, and Twitter today while I still can.

See y’all on Easter.
